Programming

Emanuel OOSH

providing meaningful experiences that give children the best possible outcomes for learning.

Our program is created and facilitated by educators based on the principles that children are confident and involved learners, and that each child develops at their own pace. We recognise that children are influenced and learn through their relationships, interactions, and the world around them.  Our program allows for flexibility and individuality and also fosters relationships, social interactions and development. We have a large variety or planned activities as well as plenty of opportunities for spontaneous play and decision making. We offer meaningful experiences that give children the best possible outcomes for learning.

At the core of our program is our learning frameworks for school age care and preschoolers in OOSH, My Time, Our Place (Middle Years Learning Framework) and Belonging, Being and Becoming (Early Years Learning Framwork). The frameworks emphasise that children collaborate with educators to plan and provide play and leisure opportunities that are meaningful to and support their wellbeing, learning and development.

Our programming decisions are influenced by the Frameworks, which is a key component of the National Quality Framework.

The frameworks aim to achieve these five overall Learning Outcomes:

Children have a strong sense of identity

Children are connected with and contribute to their world

Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

Children are confident and involved learners

Children are effective communicators
