Enrolment

Families can access the vacation care program and enrolment information by contacting in email at admin@emanueloosh.com.au

There is a strict enrolment process that is the same for all holiday sessions.

All vacation care bookings are non-refundable or transferable, for any reason. Please ensure you only submit your form for the days you require. Please only mark the days that you are certain you need. By submitting your enrolment form, families are agreeing to confirmation of days (depending on availability) therefore payment in full will be processed.

What to Bring

A backpack including the following:

• Healthy morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and any other snacks your child may want (Note: Due to children with anaphylactic allergies, Emanuel OOSH strives to be free from products containing nuts. Parents/guardians are asked to use caution when packing meals for their children and ensure there are no nuts or nut products)
• Water bottle
• Raincoat – please avoid umbrellas as these can be hazardous when walking with
  groups of children
• A warm jumper
• Hat – we recommend wide brimmed to protect the neck and ears as well.
• Sunscreen if you prefer that your child use a particular brand.
• Spare clothes (including underwear) to change into after water/messy play and in case there are any accidents.
• Bed sheets if your child requires a sleep/rest (this will be returned at the end of the week) and any comforters needed. Please speak to member of staff about your child’s sleep and rest needs.

Children are permitted to bring their scooters and helmets to use at the centre – helmets must be worn at all times.

Always mark belongings with your child’s full name. Any belongings brought to the centre by your child remain the sole responsibility of the child and family. Emanuel OOSH staff take no responsibility for lost, stolen or broken items.

What to Wear

Please ensure your child is wearing comfortable clothes that offer maximum sun protection. Closed shoes that are suitable for walking and playing are best, thongs and sandals are impractical.

Electronic Devices

During Vacation Care children are allowed to bring electronic devices from home e.g. Nintendo DS. We allow this activity to ensure children are able to participate in activities they enjoy during their leisure time in the holidays. In order to ensure that children are having a good balance of activities and experiences we implement electronic timeframes. These times are short and strategically determined by the educators and communicated to the children each day.
Children are not permitted to access the internet, make phone calls, send texts and take photos or videos. Children are only allowed to play games that are rated G or PG.
Any children found to be breaking these guidelines will have the devices removed from them and returned to their parent / guardian at the end of the day. If children are found to be breaking the guidelines again, they will not be allowed to use their devices for the remainder of the Vacation Care period. This procedure is enforced to protect children of all ages at the service.
Please note that like all other items that children bring to the centre, electronic devices remain the responsibility of the children and family.

Arriving and Departing

Families are to enter and exit through the Waxman gates and walk down to the Kornmehl Centre. Security can provide guidance upon arrival if families are unsure of where to go.

On arrival to the service parents/guardians are to apply sunscreen to their child.

Hours

Vacation Care operates between 8:00am-4:00pm.
The centre abides by a strict late pick up fee schedule. If you are going to be late, families are asked to notify the centre as soon as practicable. Arriving any time past 4:00pm is considered late and will incur a late fee charge which is outlined in our Fees Policy.
Please notify the centre as soon as possible if your child is going to be away from the centre.

Weather

Please note that at times the weather is unpredictable and circumstances may arise that require changes to be made to our program on the day.

Fees

Families will receive a statement once their form has been entered and fees will be processed via direct debit. All vacation care bookings are non-refundable or transferable, for any reason.
